You can use your own boxes and bags, but please avoid laundry bags, plastic crates, used food boxes and bin liners. Such weak containers are likely to break and could cause damage to the rest of your delivery shipment.

Send luggage overseas using our expert packing guide
It's essential to wrap and pack your belongings well when shipping internationally. We highly recommend hiring professional packers to ease some stress. Otherwise, allow yourself plenty of time and follow our 4 tips below. For even more in-depth advice, read How to choose a box for shipping and Preparing large items for collection.
Secure your boxes:
Gather all your packing materials together, like parcel tape and scissors. Seal the base of your box by folding in the flaps and sealing them shut with three or more layers of overlapping parcel tape.
Cover exposed edges with more tape, and tightly wrap all the way around the bottom. Once full of possessions, secure the lid in the same way.
Be extra careful with fragile effects:
Use bubble wrap on all items and two or more layers for delicate goods. Place your heaviest objects along the bottom of your box and lighter things above them and away from the sides.
Fill gaps with soft materials like hand towels or packing paper. Once full, gently shake your container. If you hear a noise, add more soft material till it stops.
Complete your inventory:
Log in to your online account and fill in your inventory — a detailed list of every item you're shipping. Vietnamese customs officials will see it, so accuracy is a must.
Using a dark marker pen, write the job number, box number, and shipment owner's destination city and country on two sides of each container. Double-reference with your inventory as you write to ensure all details match.
Prepare for collection day:
The container weight limit is 30kg/66lbs to protect both you and our driver. Weigh everything on bathroom scales. If one exceeds the limit, remove some items and place them in a lighter container.
For a smooth collection day experience, move all luggage as close to your building's entrance as possible the night before.
A fast, efficient service, helpful operatives and service staff, great advice and communication, easy processes, and a great price — everything we hoped it would be and more. We wouldn't hesitate to use Seven Seas Worldwide again and will recommend the services to others. Many, many thanks.
